The Group
RE Dew is a member of the highly successful Laplace Engineering Group.
Based in Glasgow, the group is an independent, privately owned company comprising RE Dew, Laplace Electrical and Caledonia Instrumentation providing solutions for:
- Control & Automation
- Process Instrumentation
- Building & Energy Management
Laplace Electrical
Since its formation in 1995, Laplace Electrical has specialised in the development and installation of Industrial Automation Systems Solutions extending to:
- Scada development and PLC control networks
- Industrial Ethernet systems
- AC and DC drive systems
- Energy and power monitoring systems
- Sensing solutions
- Control and automation panels
- Electronic repairs
- Electronic display systems.
Laplace Electrical operates from two sites, its main base in Glasgow where much of the system design and programming work is carried out by systems engineers, and its manufacturing workshop in Johnstone where panel assembly work is carried out by electrical engineers and technicians.
Caledonia Instrumentation
In 2003, Caledonia Instrumentation (established 1983) joined the group, and has gained an excellent reputation in the supply of process instrumentation to a wide spectrum of industries including:
- Oil, Gas and Petrochemical
- Water, Sewerage & Power Generation
- Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage
- General Processing and manufacturing
RE Dew
In 2005, Laplace Engineering Group diversified into Building Energy Management by acquiring RE Dew Ltd. Based in Reading for over 30 years, RE Dew continue to be leaders in providing building management systems and energy monitoring stations. The following year RE Dew expanded into Scotland, operating from the group’s Glasgow base enabling RE Dew to be a major provider of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) to clients throughout the UK. |
